Both, that is a feature. Special switch plus circuitry. [MBZ] Automatic-full-opening Windows
I mentioned earlier that when I received the 1990 300D/2.5 Turbo, momentarily pressing hard on the front passenger's window switch would open that window all the way. I tried an experiment and reversed the switches side-to-side. Now the driver's window is the one that automatically opens all the way. So the function goes with the switch. I don't know why -- I haven't looked into what causes the function -- but I'm curious whether it's something in the switch itself or some ancillary circuitry in the rest of the car. [MBZ] Stupid e300 exhaust
So I have spent a good 3 hours trying to jack around with this exhaust to get it to hang right. Basically the part that comes past the differential area needs to hand down lower so I tried putting a bar across there to hold it while jacking the rear section up to basically try to bend it in the middle. I managed to get it good enough to clear from hitting the bolt heads of the axle shaft but it's still hitting the bottom of the car further up right below the transmission tunnel area. So while inside the car you can feel it for sure. I guess I'm going to have to make die for now and will probably try and weld up the original one and put it back in the car. What a pain in the neck. Re: [MBZ] What Idiot...
The AC is a circuit. When you pull a vacuum on the low side it also pulls that same vacuum on the high side. It's all connected. If it holds vacuum for a few hours then you add the right amount of whatever freon or cooling agent you want. The right amount depends on what you are using. MG redghost--- via Mercedes wrote: As for the AC, I was trying to at least pull a vacuum and see if it would hold. My paws are just too huge to get access to the high side port under all the hoses and hot engine. There was no way to screw on the manifold hose. I had low side, but an hour of poking around just could not line up the hose. Are the cars just meant to have a single charge? I could have tried a vacuum on the low side, and then just charge without knowing if the high would hold. clay ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
