Very sad.

A few weeks ago here, a man killed his entire family in their home
(wife, adult daughter and high-school aged son) and then killed himself.
Very shocking, was an upper-middle-class family in one of the nicer
neighborhoods, last thing you would expect to hear.

I don't know what is done with a house where something like that has
happened. Just clean it up and sell it? Hardly a place many people would
want to buy, I would think.

I'm very sorry you and your friend have to go through this. It is very
disturbing; suicide is not a good solution to anything.

This is a very stressful time and, yes, suicides are up. The cure is and
has been worse than the WRD and those who insist on continued closure and
not reasonable, common-sense approaches to opening things up and
restraining crime should be held accountable.

the road a bit to another family property and was renting her house) had killed

alcohol, drugs, whatever, he was on some kind of rampage throwing stuff, 
breaking things.  She took off to a friend’s place to crash. 

Next morning she was remorseful and went back to the house to check on him and 
found him, having shot himself in the head in bed. She called the cops then 
called my friend who went over there. Very shocking situation. 

My friend is fairly emotional so it affected her significantly as well, she had 
become friendly with these kids and really liked them. Plus her house and 
having that happen in it. 

After a coupla hours the coroner or whoever had removed the body. The event 
left a mess, obviously. The girl’s dad drove a couple hours from where he was, 
met her at the house while the whole thing was being dealt with. He organized a 
clean up crew to show up so got that dealt with.  Good dad, he and the deceased 
kid apparently had a good relationship . 
I saw the truck leaving the house when I went over to visit my friend in the 
afternoon. When I left her I went by the house to make sure it was secure, it 
was. 

So today I got the key and went to check on the house and make sure it was OK, 
set the alarm etc. The crew had done a very good job of cleanup, no evidence of 
the event although the paint on the wall behind the bed was a bit discolored, I 
guess from the scrubbing and cleaner. 

And there was a bullet hole up in the wall...

It was kind of creepy, not having dealt with anything like this before, but 
very sad too. My friend now doesn’t think she can ever go back to her house so 
that’s another bad aspect to the whole deal. 

She went to the boy’s funeral on Sunday, says his family was total white trash 
from upstate SC. Now they are wanting to come to the house and collect his 
stuff, harassing the gf about it. So they’ll likely show up the next coupla

It's disappointing to think my dad and mom went to medical school there, I
was born there, and my mother's parents lived at 629 6th Street Southeast
for many, many years.

I recall visiting them during the summer and walking down to the
mom-and-pop grocery store at the end of the block to buy groceries for
them.

How things have changed.

A family member recently bought a 126 gasser, I think an 86 420SEL.  Low miles 
like this, beautiful deep maroon color, perfect shape but for some suspension 
work.  I think a little cheaper than this, but he is just pleased as can be.  
Doesn't drive much, so no worries about the cost of gas.  Supremely quiet and 
smooth ride, passengers are amazed when they ride it, such a shocking 
difference from the current electronic appliances they call cars.
