Old guys of a particular vintage could have a "fancy yurpeen sports car" and hang out in the garage and stay out of his wife's way but the projects never got finished before he died of obesity comorbidities and whoever ends up with them just wants them gone. That said, for $300 (or better yet haul it off for scrap) it would be kinda fun to rat rod something like that, get the cutoff tool and welder and fiberglass tools out and throw in a Marzaydeez 617 or a 606 with some fat tires and just go generate massive clouds of rubber smoke at the C while being a complete sociopath. Never seen a black one of these, but that’s definitely a Ford 2.3l inline 4 with a Holley 5200. Actually, a really good engine setup, very popular amongst the rally folks that run Ford Capris of this vintage. I had the same setup in my Pinto, and when it’s tuned properly it would pull stumps.
