I drove a 2016 e-Golf today and was impressed at the fit and finish,
comfort, ample power and acceleration, and functional design.  It has
regenerative braking, which actually increases range when in use, or at
least holds it steady.  Has only 44.5 k miles and shows no signs of wear or
abuse.  If the price comes down from $13.5k I may consider acquiring it.

With my massive array of solar roof panels and EV hookup, it makes more
sense to drive an EV for routine errands.

I watched the Fisker Product Vision Day show on youtube last night.  They
have some really cool vehicles about to reach the market.  The only one in
my price range is the Pear, due in 2025.

the dealer noted a low coolant level and suspected/observed (?) a radiator
leak.  There was a low coolant warning as I drove away from the dealer.  In
9 months this was the first such warning.  I have never checked coolant
levels prior to this.

that the radiator was leaking and needed replacing.  When I picked up the
car there was a low coolant message so I drove to my trusty indy tech (ex
dealer).  The coolant was a quart down but he saw no leak.  The car sat on
my driveway for a day and nothing dripped onto the pavement.  I have had no
coolant issues in almost a year of ownership.  Not sure what to do next.

I've noticed that our rainfall patterns are different now. The total
rainfall is the comfortably normal, but there are fewer storms that are
more violent. Today in a 20-minute period we received an inch of rain as
the front passed through. Trees and limbs down all over the place.

I recommend you retain a valet whose sole responsibility is to start your
extensive fleet on a regular schedule to keep them in fine fettle.

[MBZ] W212 E250 radiator replacement

The radiator on my 2014 E250 bluetec sedan needs to be replaced.  Is Valeo
a good brand?  It' advertised as OEM.  Otherwise there are Nissens and
Behr.  Not sure which is OEM or how much that matters.

fuse?

I have a home EV charging station connected to my solar roof panels.

I drove the Chevy Spark once; it is a lot peppier than the Leaf.  Nissan
has taken pains to make the driving experience very similar to a gas car,
which means average acceleration.  Most of the Leafs on sale here are very
low mileage and obviously well cared for (2015 and 2016 model year).  I
also looked at a Kia Soul EV, for about the same price but uglier.
