Awesome. Did you also replace all the fuel line o-rings, and the fuel return lines? - Max Charleston SC On Sat, Sep 26, 2015 at 8:42 PM, wrote: > Well I finally go fuel to the injectors, I just wasn't expecting it to > take as low as it did. Re: [MBZ] !995 E300D Question Injection Pump Leak Repair
What Clay said, crack the lines at the injectors and crank crank crank. I just did this on my '87 wagon, when you move the injection lines they bleed out and you have to push a lot of fuel through them to get the air out. In my case I finally had to use jumper cables from my other car, engine running, to have enough juice to crank long enough to get fuel to the injectors. Hold the accel. pedal to the floor while you crank to get maximum fuel out of the IP. I disconnect the pre-glow relay while cranking to save amps in the battery. - Max Charleston SC ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Well I finally go fuel to the injectors, I just wasn't expecting it to take as low as it did. I did have a second battery in parallel. Now I can put the rest of the intake manifold and covers back on to button thing up. It will be nice not to smell diesel when I stop and leaking on the floor. None of the 'O' rings came out in one piece, they were very hard and brittle. I believe they have never been change since the car was new! 427,000 miles and still running. -Original Message- From: Robert Massmann via Mercedes Sent: Saturday, September 26, 2015 7:23 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List Cc: rmassm...@embarqmail.com ; Max Dillion Subject: [MBZ] !995 E300D Question Injection Pump Leak Repair Max, I changed my injection pump delivery valve ‘O’ rings and copper washers today, but it seems to be taking an awful long time to get the fuel line full of fuel. Re: [MBZ] !995 E300D Question Injection Pump Leak Repair
I think you have to bleed at the injectors as you are doing. Maybe if you crack the line at the pump, there will be indication that fuel is going to the lines. Did you refresh the filters? On the 95 e300d I had to have a very well charged battery and just crank the bejeesus out of the engine to get injector squirt clay On Sep 26, 2015, at 4:23 PM, Robert Massmann via Mercedes wrote: > Max, > > I changed my injection pump delivery valve ‘O’ rings and copper washers > today, but it seems to be taking an awful long time to get the fuel line full > of fuel. Max, I changed my injection pump delivery valve ‘O’ rings and copper washers today, but it seems to be taking an awful long time to get the fuel line full of fuel. Still not seeing any fuel at the injectors where have the lines cracked to bleed the lines. Not sure if I have done something wrong. I only removed the body, the spring and the copper washer. Everything else I left alone. I was surprised ( 4) out of the six injectors didn’t have much fuel and may have been due to the poor condition of the ‘O’ rings on the delivery valve body.
