Looks pretty nice but rust... offer $1500 After checking out the rust Might be reasonable considering rust and work to be done --FT Sent from iPhone > On Dec 27, 2020, at 3:40 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes > wrote: > > Might be worth considering at half the price? > > https://fortwayne.craigslist.org/cto/d/hamilton-2004-mercedes-class-wagon/7253020999.html > > "There is a slight growling sound from the rear at low speeds during a > sharp turn" > > Guess that would be wheel bearing? Now I remember why Woger didn't like early 211 chassis cars, the brakes were a big part of it. Somehow 'front sway bar and ABS module' says to me 'deferred maintenance, especially needs front suspension rebuilt, and now the ABS has failed and I don't want to pay to fix that'. https://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/d/mercedes-e320-wagon/6622803962.html ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

OK - so it's only got another 250,000 left before you need to start worrying about the drive dying. Re: [MBZ] 2004 E320 Wagon?
Anyone have any info about the above, good or bad traits, etc.? Things to worry about or look for? It runs smooth and easy without any problems I see. I know they're not diesels but do the parts cost a arm & leg or just an arm? It has ~140K miles, fully loaded starting asking price is $12K. I'm still researching everything - my wife will be the primary driver - to & from work... Her 91 300D has 250K mi and while still running great I worry something unforeseen will happen. Not planning to 'pull the trigger' any time soon but have started the process. Thanks - Larry 91 300D As long as the the tin worm does not eat your 91, it still has lots of life in it. Most merkun cars of that vintage can go to 300k with oil changes. I've had two OM603s with over 400k on them and they both still run/ran strong. I did a compression test on the first one at 300k because I was getting a little nervous. 425 PSI in each cylinder. (factory new engine spec.) I say your current car is better than the 2004. (nothing against the 2004, but it is a gasser) ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
