Re: [MBZ] Accident
Subrogation is good, but I have learned the need for police reports, a call to an attorney right off, take all medical care offered or needed, and do not talk to opposing side unless my lawyers is talking. Speeds my side right up and slows the other guy from bending me over. clay > On Dec 4, 2019, at 3:16 PM, Dan Penoff via Mercedes > wrote: > > Subrogation is a wonderful thing in a case like this. Re: [MBZ] Accident
Lol, I got hit in my old 87 300D in the driver's door by a work van (Chevy 3500 series, fully loaded). Broke the starter off the engine, punched the strut up through the still attached mount, bent the strut 45 degrees, and pushed the front of the driver's door in over a foot. The other three doors open and close, although the front passenger door is now half an inch proud of the frame. I put it in park (engine still running and car still rolling under power), took the seat belt off, and climbed over the console and exited via the front passenger door. Quite the ride. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Re: [MBZ] Accident
Subrogation is a wonderful thing in a case like this. I’ve had two situations where the person who cause the accident’s insurer refused to communicate, for whatever reason I have no idea. In both cases I covered the deductible, and in both cases I got reimbursed after 4-6 months when my insurer went after their insurance company. I was confident that I would in both cases, as they were clearly the fault of the other driver. -D > On Dec 4, 2019, at 6:08 PM, archer75--- via Mercedes > wrote: > > > Here is a description of an accident, parts of which, might be of interest to > some members of this group. > > A SoCal resident wrote: >> Well, my 2015 Plug-In was totalled by a driver while I made a left turn on a >> left arrow. Re: [MBZ] Accident
Notice how people in crashes never seem to know there's a perfectly good door on the other side of the car? My 190D turbo's RF door was latched closed after the crash, but after a 16 year old girl managed to force it open, it'll never again be within 6" of closed.
