So the noise I have been ignoring for the last week thinking it was a broken exhaust hanger - turns out to be a busted out lower right shock mount in the rear. You mean rear lower control arm? Yeah those rust. Had mine replaced couple years ago with used rust free. It was not a cheap repair. Check carefully, those lower control arms are known to rust out.
