Same year as Angie's Golf although hers has the BEW "Pump deuce" engine and I think this is an older VE type. I prefer the older engine although I guess the BEW can make more serious power. In any case a stage 1 tune takes it to 110hp for about $300. Totally worth it, it's the tune the Euro engines already have That price is absurd, the car looks nice but not that nice... Gen 4 cars are getting a little hard for find but they're still around. I would have been interested but not at the price it sold for. $15K for a 20 year old VW is putting more faith in VW parts than I have. My Jetta was leaking rain into the interior and various fluids from the engine by that age. It ran great, it just had a lot of minor problems with anything made of rubber or plastic.
