Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, 
diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.


The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, 
you've got it made.


There is one way to find out if a man is honest; ask him! If he says 
yes you know he's crooked.


Why a four-year-old child could understand this report. Run out and 
find me a four-year-old child. I can't make head nor tail out of it.


Why should I care about posterity? What's posterity ever done for me?

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

that's a marxism we can all subscribe too!

i think there is a decline in interest in the marx brothers.  is duck soup
maybe too complex for all but the very brightest americans?  i think  mack
sennett and hal roach might also material too tough for us nowadays.

the marx brothers will come back once intelligent members of a new
generation see it.  much of the material is just too good.  i also think
that in a nation that seeks to suppress more and more liberties every day
with a population that largely encourages the government to do so, many will
discover anarchic comedies as a release (sort of like happy musicals during
the depression).
