I agree. Check out those 60's Rivieras for awesome styling. I even
liked the 90's version. But today, the Lucerne is the best thing
they've got going although I don't think they went far enough.

Oh, yeah, they're huge. But I love the bent-glass rear window and the sheet
metal contours in back.

It's sad to look at the bland Buicks of today and realize they used to sell
interesting cars with extroverted styling.

Who DOESN'T think E-types are good looking??? I thought they were
universally regarded as one of the best-looking cars ever, a serious
babe magnet.

Don't know about the Rivies. More like a 2-door battleship.

oh god, the worst part is that it's one of those cars that I see and say, "I
could see myself owning, driving, and fixing that."

It's like an ugly baby - objectively, it might be hideous, but to its
parents it's the most beautiful baby in history.

Hello gang,

I'm proud to announce the arrival of my fourth child, a 1970 Citroen
DS21 Pallas, 4-sp semi-automatic, 170,000 km, swan white with black
leather interior. And so continues my descent into financial ruin.

Congrats on that one. Citroen is my love other than MB. From the fact that
this one is now yours I assume that you are not only a mechanic but also a
plumber. Loved that hydraulic system - easiest way to jack up a car I ever
saw, though with the odd balance system if it is a back tire that goes flat
you can just take it off and drive on with the other three. Saw a fully
loaded station wagon do that once in the late '60's. Enjoy - and learn a
few curses in French just to get ahead of the game.
