[MBZ] New phone

[Kaleb Striplin, Okieben via Mercedes]

I got a new company iphone 5. My old phone was a 4 and only did 3G. This one 
had lte. Holy crap the Internet is fast. I just tested and got 35mbps down and 
11 up. Wow. That's way faster than my home uverse connection .

I would like to move up to a 5S but I'm waiting for the prices to drop when 
they introduce the new iPhone in September.  I don't use my phone to do much in 
the way of surfing, just mail, text and phone so I probably wouldn't notice the 
difference that much

This one is the 5c, only difference I see is the s has the next processor and 
the finger print scan. Otherwise it's the same phone except cheaper

I can't imaging living on 3G... I've also been told the 4s has really bad 
battery life. If I don't use it much my iPhone 5 will go 2 days between 
recharges, a friend says her 4s needs charging every 12 hours.

My 4 sucked. It had worse reception than my 3GS, if I was working it would only 
stay charged for maybe 3 hours, was slow, locked up all the time.

She has a whole lot of stuff running in the background. She needs to 
turn most of it off.

My iPhone 4 lasts for days without charging.

I cracked my screen already. Bummer. I treat it no differently than my 4, and 
have it in the same case.  I had my 4 for over three years and it looks like 
new.

Not sure how to interpret this or just chalk it up as an anomaly.  Battery life 
is definitely poorer with exactly the same settings as my 4, and it's three 
years old with the original battery.

The replacement screens on Amazon for $25 are pretty good. It took me maybe 2 
hours to do the replacement. One piece of advice is to be ABSOLUTELY sure you 
keep the screws organized. There are several different sizes that are 
impossible to tell apart. I used a paper towel and wrote each size on it as I 
pulled them out.
The tool kits you get are cheapo junk, I have a big jewelers screwdriver set 
and it did everything I needed.

Roll up some tape, put bits on a white paper where you can write down 
which screw it is then put the screw on the tape.  Holds it til its 
needed and you have the record of what goes where.
