Not my idea of a meaningful life. I have a good friend my age who saved &
planned so he retired,at 56- 16 years ago. no appeal for me- his life

The parents of a woman I work with retired in their early 50s. They planned
carefully and saved, so they were able to bail when they were like 53. Neither
parent has anything significant they do with their time. When asked what the
best part of retirement is, dad says, “Not having to get up and go to work in

From what I saw when I was at Kohler where the average length of service was 28
years, if people didn’t have a plan for what they were going to do once they
retired they didn’t seem to last very long after they did. These were people
who were retiring with like 40, 50 and even 60 years of service in the same
company. In most cases they had lots of family and friends in the area, which
certainly helps.

When it gets closer I’m sure I’ll have some volunteer work set up on a regular
basis. That will help.

Re: [MBZ] OT: Andrew needs a dually truck

2018-01-19 Thread G Mann via Mercedes
Here is your start for this monster machine, 1/4 mile coal burner, tire
shredder...

Plasma cut the bed out, lose the inner fenders, strip the floorboards out,
so it's a lightweight shell, build out a tube frame with full cage... and
have room for a truly monster dual turbo / blower 8V92 Detroit Diesel 2
stroke so you can really "roll coal" and make a show

Cubic speed equals Cubic dollars... have fun two for one price...

So, do you folks think that Andrew's employment with the government has
anything to do with the fact that he does not appear to be around on
Friday afternoon?

It is about 12 minutes to 5 here and I am still in my office.

I think I might build myself an El Camino for my 55th birthday.
I've been seeing reports of 2.0L Camaros doing 12.0 in the 1/4 mile with
minimal modifications.
What if I bought one that was hit in the rear and made a carbon fiber/styrofoam
truck bed for it?
