Kind of hard to do when you don’t know they’re fudging . And of course, no one
here has ever done something so heinous, I’m sure.

The Chinese postal service subsidizes export packages like crazy.
It's cheaper to mail some minor electronic trinket (like an OBD II bluetooth
dongle)
from Shanghai to my house than it is to mail a letter from next door to my
house.
Meanwhile, USPS wants $2.70 for a sub ounce domestic package because it's more
than 1/8" thick.

Mitch.

Meanwhile OOPS and FudUx won't touch anything for under $12.

Sending 20 lbs of hamburger overnight with dry ice costs over $200,
plus the cost of the hamburger, dry ice and the substantial cost of a
foam box inside a cardboard box.

2015-08-21 Thread Dan Penoff via Mercedes
I love being 5 minutes from a Harbor Freight store. Whenever I need that weird
sized Torx bit or some other off the wall tool, I print out a 20% off coupon I
keep on my computer and pop over to pick up what I need.

Both my RA and polisher came from HF, and don't think I spent $50 for the pair.
I use them regularly and I see nothing that would indicate they won't be around
for a while. I'll also buy their cheap pads, too, as I can justify throwing
them away when I'm done with them.

I haven't bought any wrenches from them, but the ones I've seen there that are
chrome plated look pretty nice and fairly well made.

Right now I'm struggling with whether or not to have my 3 ton Craftsman floor
jack rebuilt or replace it with a HF model. The HF one would be smaller and
lighter, but I'm really attached to my Craftsman behemoth.

Who just came to the realization I am one cheap bast*rd.

I have a set of snappy wrenches. They are bright and shiny, and it
seems everyone would love to "lift" them. Therefore, I guard them,
and keep them hidden, and hardly ever use them.

years ago I bought crapsman wrenches and craftsman sockets. They
were all stolen. Only the sockets (made by williams) were any good.

I have purchased "geodre" tools that are virtually identical to
german, but cheap, and lots of imported tools from taiwan and now
china.

The ones I use are pretty much all cheap ones. The HF tools work
just fine, and they are good value.

Funny thing is: nobody steals the cheap ones.
