I don't know about the W123 trannies (mine was manual) but it's easy to change the shift "hardness" on the W124 auto-trannies. Pull of a rubber cap on the vacuum modulator, pull the "T" out with needle nose pliers, turn it a notch or two, push it back in, put the rubber cap back on. Drive it to see if you turned the direction you wanted and enough. I observed no improvement or benefit in driving when comparing the pre-'85s to the '85s. But I'm not much for "refinement" at the expense of practical and usable. For example, I want to know when the transmission shifts - NOT have it shift so smoothly it is unnoticeable. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
