Re: [MBZ] Q: What kind of rims are these? A: the round kind

That sounds great, next time I'm in Carolina I'll drop in with my mags.
Although the flight stewardesses might give me the evils whilst I am
trying to stow some old mags in the overhead locker.

Then again paint in a can is cheap

old 15 hole wheels on my 300SDL, stripped them, sanded them, primed them,
sanded them again, applied adhesion promoter, sanded again and applied the
paint.

It held for a while, but the first time they go dirty for longer than 2
weeks they are shot.

My advice would be to send them to Prince Wheel Service here in Monroe, NC.
The guy does great work refinishing and straightening wheels for the local
MB and BMW dealerships. He only charges $100 per wheel and will either apply
a baked powder coat or traditional paint.

My AMG Monoblock II's look great.

Mag wheels are great. You fill them up with charcoal, cook your steaks, and then
sit back with a beer and wait for the fireworks show.

No 16's didn't really appear widespread till the late 90's, those are
the stock mags used from about 84 (14 inch) until the early 90's (15 inch).
I have a 14 inch set suitable for 123 and early 201(different offset)
and a 15 inch set for post mid 85 MB's (all 124's and 201's, not sure
about the 126's).
I am toying with the idea of painting the 15 inch set to colour match my
blue/black TE, anyone been there, done that and have a write up?
