I think it was in the 0 to -10 range the time my Dad froze the fuel lines under 
his Cutlass Ciera Diesel. Made it to Lansing on the highway, but stalled out in 
traffic in the city. I have no idea how cold the salty mess on the bottom of 
the car was. 

I saw -16 in the wee hours this morning but it was up to -4 by 7am. 
Is our weather headed your way on prevailing west winds?

warm up a little before she went to work.Yesterday she got a half mile down the 
road and lost power (this is the '05 Golf TDI). By the time she got home and 
swapped for the pickup it was fine. I took it over to Autozone and bought a 
bottle of Power Service (the white bottle). Put in 8oz (enough for 20 gallons) 
and it was fine the rest of the day. Started fine this morning when it was 5 or 
6 degrees colder so I guess we had a little gelling or ice in the fuel filter 
or something...
