I have discovered that I have better luck if I just go to the dealer and buy OEM. The cost is usually about the same and I ensure that I get an original fit. My first car, the 1975 Civic Hatchback, did that to me one day. Also with a wiper installed by the owner/driver. I put the wipers on intermittent (I'd installed an aftermarket delay box courtesy of JC Whitney) and used them as little as possible until I got home. When the windshield dried, I had a nice arc inscribed in the glass. 20 year old me was too stupid to pull over and put the wiper arm in the up position.
