Hmmm... speaking of the EGR - I'm getting close to taking the plunge and 
blocking the egr off to see how it runs.  Others have seen better 
acceleration and re

I've heard that if the EGR doesn't work right, the car opens the wastegate.
Hence the Meimann efforts to replace the vacuum controlled wastegate actuator 
with a pressure controlled unit that you can just hook up to manifold pressure.

It wont work on that car, the computer will know and will dump all your 
boost.  You have to completely remove it and install either a different 
turbo or a different waste gate.

I think there are aftermarket control units for vacuum waste gate actuators out 
there. I think they cost more than pressure actuators though.

I think that Meimann has found the solution - I'm going to buy a pair of the
pressure actuators if Uncle Sam returns some of my money soon --- EGR
systems have always felt wrong to me.

From what I hear lately, Toyotas work well at wide open throttle. Brakes may 
be lacking, but throttle is good.

Hard to slow a good Toyota down.

curved to contact the rollers.
