The only two problems with using gasoline in the diesel are serious lack of lubrication in the injection pump and low BTU form the low density. It will not damage the internals as it burns pretty much like diesel fuel when actually injected. However, the lower viscosity, aside from causing damage to pump and injectors from lack of lubrication, also results in injection failure from leaking inside the pump. You get late, sloppy injection accompanied by smoke, knock, low power, and rough running. A large amount of gasoline can also free up deposits in the tank (it often holds more water than diesel fuel) and clog filters and screens. Many of the newer deisels simply refuse to run if filled with that much gasoline. Peter

Mmm Well my wife knows the answer to this It's about 60 parts supreme gas, and 8 parts diesel. Or fill it up with gas once you hit the reserve light. In fact you *can* run about 20 miles on this mixture, until reaching benz dealer with complaint about *rough* running bad idling... Amazing, Bill for disposal, cleaning, checking, car rental, tossing the gas so far has reached $220 USA. Still I drove it back home and everything seemed fine, so any thoughts on pre-chamber cracks, etc etc... PS, my teenager distracted her at the gas station and she forgot which car she was standing by... 7.5gas/1diesel mixture - how many miles ago was this?
