G: There has been constant research in rain and weather control for years. Hopefully, some day, we'll learn to control weather the same way we have learned to control many other aspects of nature. Here in Florida, we are having a terribly warm winter. Flowers are blooming, trees and plants are pollinating as though its spring, and air conditioners are on in South Florida. Here is the weather report for coming days on the west coast of North Central Florida: . Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 50. North wind around 7 mph. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 65. North wind 7 to 10 mph. Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, a low around 37. North wind 9 to 18 mph. Thursday Sunny, with a high near 59. Wind chill values as low as 28 early. North northeast wind around 16 mph. Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. North northeast wind 6 to 14 mph. Friday Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Light north wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Friday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. North wind around 9 mph. Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 68. North northeast wind around 10 mph. Saturday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Sunday A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Sunday Night A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Monday A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Monday Night A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Tuesday A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. .. After the extremes of upstate NY with weeks of 0F as the high and 5' of snow h the Nashville heat with 90F-90% for 5 or more months I feel here in coastal RI is ideal. Mild winters with some snow & mostly bearable suumers. Although we have decided to install a ductless AC in the 3 main rooms. The humidity where I live isn't bad, as there is almost always a breeze off the Gulf. It's far better than the humidity in the Midwest where I grew up. That's the "pour me into a bucket the minute I step out of the door" humidity. Nothing like that where I live. That's humidity like southern Louisiana or Houston. The thing that is the greatest about living here is how much sunlight you get. When I moved back to Indy I knew winter would be bad, but I had no idea how bad. The lack of sunlight messed me up bad. I was in LA for the hottest day there on record, it was 118F and although its a "dry hot" it was like standing in front of the oven door all the time all around me. Still better than 95F and 100% humidity. I could handle the southwest. Just as people used to ask me how I could stand the winters in Wisconsin (dress for it!) the same applies to Florida. Yeah, it's hot in the summer, but you just jump in the pool or go inside where it's cool. Somebody ask Renfro what it's like living in Arizona if you want hot. It rarely exceeds 95F down here. Re: [MBZ] 190D back to legal again/weather
I will say that I miss the fall, but that's about it for seasons. We're supposed to get up to half an inch but at 11F its fine powder. Supposed to hit a high of 15F today but I don't believe it. Might make 19F tomorrow but -10F is predicted for tomorrow night. Yep, 'nother ATTABOY! It was a mere 25F when I went out but the car started nicely enough. Unfortunately there was some ice on the inside of the windshield so I let it run while I scraped the outside, then left it running and went inside to warm up.After the ice had some time to melt I started checking all the inspectables, lights, horn etc. everything was good until I tried the washer and found a no-go. Started digging in and found the whole system was frozen up solid. I dug out the bottle and brought it in the house. It took a lot of hot water to melt the green Rain-X out. Apparently its not rated for below freezing...With the bottle clean and charged with good orange Rain-X I could finally hear the pump running but now water was spraying out from a white thing in the line, is that a check valve? Turns out its plastic housing wouldn't stay clamped, a couple zip ties fixed that. Finally the last few inches of hose had to spend a few minutes inside my coat to melt an ice plug. Only took an hour an a half but we finally passed inspection. Then made a run up to Keene to get coolant for the Jetta's radiator replacement. I'm going to let a local guy do the replacement, its gotten all the way up to 12F today and since my car has AC the whole front bumper has to come off for the job, not a big deal but not something I want to do outside in the cold... -Curt ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
