Re: [MBZ] 1990 Mercedes 300E - Heater Issue

2016-11-09 Thread Peter Frederick via Mercedes
They cannot be repaired so far as I know, they are sonic welded
together or something. Usually the seat goes bad on the valve, or it
fails to open properly.

Robert,

I think the 124 mono valves are sold as entire assembly, not as individual
parts.

Dan,

I did a coolant flush 2 years ago. I had a monovalve issue on my 1983 300D a
few years ago and that was the fix. I am researching a monovalve on this car
and can't find the part or repair instructions???

Done a flush and fill in recent years? I would suggest checking the monovalve,
but if it was acting up you would just get straight heat, and lots of it.Have
you checked to see if air is coming out of the defroster vents? You could have
a leaking or failed vacuum actuator in the ACC system.Just doing a stream of

heater is only blowing warm air not hot. The problem started last winter and
the recent cool weather in the Northeast reminded me of the issue again. The
engine temperature warms up to normal range. > > > Any suggestions?> > > Bob>

Have you checked to see if air is coming out of the defroster vents? You could
have a leaking or failed vacuum actuator in the ACC system.

Just doing a stream of consciousness thing here….
