will be worth $300 when he is done, because only a junkyard will buy 
it.





Same was said about my friend and neighbor when he bought an all original
33 Chevy coupe to build a street rod.  Now he drives a gorgeous coupe with
modern suspension and drivetrain worth around $50k.

look a bit empty.
I am no fan of the silly wheels we sometimes see on things like 
Escalades

but even Honda Civics come from the factory with 16" wheels nowadays.

I don't think my 115 would look silly with bundts and there is a wider
selection of 15" tires available.

death.  Value is in originality.  Next step for this car will be the junk
yard, almost certainly.  Most folks lack the skill to make all the details
of such a conversion work.  If the same money and effort was put into the
original drivetrain, the owner would have something impressive
and desirable.  And valuable.

I agree completely.  Nothing is nicer to drive than a nice 
110/111/112.  That said, The 110 200D/2.4 is a nice conversion.  When 
we showed it, none of the experts even noticed it was a conversion. 
A low dollar conversion at that.
