Re: [MBZ] DEF system eliminated - 2012 Sprinter 2500
I thought of purchasing a E250 Bluetec sedan that had been de-DEFed by its PA owner. Seller claimed 45-50 mpg as a result, but it wouldn't pass MD inspection so I purchased a legal E250 in VA. I get 45 mpg on the beltway in any case, so not much difference under the DEF system. Re: [MBZ] DEF system eliminated - 2012 Sprinter 2500
I haven't heard complaints about the DEF system on the Sprinters like I have on MB's passenger vehicles. Maybe the Freightliner influence made it better? VW's DEF system seems pretty solid. At least I've never had an issue with it in my 2015 Jetta. Re: [MBZ] DEF system eliminated - 2012 Sprinter 2500
I spend $12/year ($1/month) on DEF fluid for each of my 2014/15 Bluetecs. Why would I want to disable the system?
