When put that way, it sounds more appealing.  That SDL would easily run at 
least another 300K with proper maintenance.

I loved my SDL POS for the first 500 miles.

Then the curbstoning nigerian's handy work kicked in and bricked the car.  
Sweet ride, much nicer than the w124 in my estimation.

I had two Alfa Romeos in college. One was a Ferrari-red two-seater. The
other was a powder-blue four-door that looked like a Datsun because
Datsun copied the body style (only the front grille was distinctive).

Guess which one drew the most attention!

You can likely drive it faster than the limit and not get noticed.
I know a fellow who bought himself a bright yellow 911 and got a ticket 
on his way home with it.

Cops notice bright yellow sports cars.

That's easy.  W111 coupes, W123s are OK, the new gull wing, maybe some
of the 500 SLs.  I just don't care much for the exterior styling post
1985.
