There are a bunch of 123s in the junkyard I go to, I could go get one from them if you want. Probably wouldn't be much. --R andrew strasfogel wrote: Does anyone want to part with a spare plastic glove box door liner for a w123 (1985 300td)? I recently replaced that inner plastic glove door piece. It's not that complicated. Just start taking it apart and photograph each step. Re: [MBZ] Messed up 123 glove box door liner and latch
Actually, I think that you are going to have to take it apart anyway if you replace the whole door because the hinges attach to the door. In order to detach them that plastic cover has to come off. I've already detached the door and removed the plastic liner, The problem is that the metal latch has come apart from the plastic liner and I don't know how to reattach it. Works fine now, but I do need to adjust the hinges where they mount to the dashboard because the glovebox light stays on with the door closed. It seems like the glovebox is one of the few flaws of the 123 diesel design.
