Re: [MBZ] Rare Mercedes SL model
This one was near the waterfront on Montgomery, and it was silver. I'm not sure of the type of tranny, didn't get to climb inside, unfortunately. Kevin in Hillsboro, OR 1983 300SD 267K miles, Ursula

Re: [MBZ] Rare Mercedes SL model
I think they may have made a 200SL in 68 but there is very little info on em, this was probably only sold in the UK where they have a liking for underpowered sports cars. - Original Message - From: "Alex Chamberlain" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Mercedes Discussion List" Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 8:16 AM Subject: Re: [MBZ] Rare Mercedes SL model On 5/7/07, Kevin Kraly <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: It must have been a 280SL. I'm certain that it was a W107 chassis, not a W113. Kevin in Hillsboro, OR 1983 300SD 267K miles, Ursula

Re: [MBZ] Rare Mercedes SL model
Right-except if it was a w113 it could have been a 230-50-80SL, also acc. to Nitske. However, he lists no 200SL at all. Dwight Bissell Cove Quahog & Auto Salvage Co Dwight E. You sure it wasnt a 280SL? As far as I know, there was no such thing as a 200SL Kevin Kraly wrote: While we were walking today in downtown Portlend, my wife spotted a Mercedes. Was it really possible to get a Euro 107 with a 4 cylinder? I suppose one could tamper with the badging, but it looked legit.
