The under hood cats were 1975 and 1976. A 1986 R107 would be a 560SL So it's most likely a 1976. The manual AC makes it a euro - without the cats, etc - more power than the US version - probably why the drive train is out - it went to another car. Well it’s not a 86. It has a 450 trunk badge but has manual climate control. That would make it either a 72-73, or a euro model. If euro, might actually be a 280.
