Thanks to all for the input. I did not bid so I do not need to move it. Too bad as it went for a good price and it looked to be in good condition. Always a gamble though when one cannot get a personal look at something like that. If it had been closer to home I might have gambled. I could go to Chicago in a day but not New Hampshire. That would take me about 3 days each way. Randy -Original Message- From: mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com [mailto:mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com]on Behalf Of Kaleb C. The one time I had a heavy item shipped I used Yellow Freight/Roadway.. They happened to have a depot in my town where the item was delivered, then when I showed up in my pickup they forklifted it into the bed for me. This avoided charges for residential delivery and a lift gate truck. Re: [MBZ] shipping costs
You would probably need to use a LTL( less than truckload) freight hauler -- I would presume you could find one where it is being shipped from. Then you have to pay some fees to have it picked up with a forklift or whatever, maybe palleted or something, and then a drop off fee to have it unloaded at the freight terminal. All that said, FedEx and UPS do ground stuff, they might be more expensive though.
