Friend at the Orlando German Club has a Thing 
that he painted WWII camouflage. Set up seats 
as close to Kübelwagen as possible and all 
the tools on the outside. Former US Army 
armored command colonel posted to Germany 
most of his career.

Dealer trade-ins here that are too old or worn out even for the
second-tier used dealers but worth more than scrap are often sent down
to Mexico, I've heard.

I don't know that an 8 year old MB would get that treatment, I guess it
depends what shape it's in.

Off lease which is about 4 years or so, will be on the used section of the
dealers lot for a bit.  But 7-8 years old, they are gone.  Used independent
dealers will keep older cars, but still, there are very few of them for the
numbers of new cars being sold and used here.  Also, our emission
requirements sends a lot of post '88 cars to the crusher now.  Pre '88 are
exempt, but most of these which are rare, are very well kept, or Mother
nature has reclaimed them naturally. ;-)

unusual sight in itself. Imagine my slack-jawed amazement when it turned out
