Re: [meteorite-list] Attendees at Tucson Show
Well, I rode my $5.00 bicycle, with coon tails hanging from the bars and a clown car horn that I honked all the way from Prescott Valley to Tucson. I especially honk the horn when a **$130,000 Tesla** slows me down. I'm over here in California, unable to get to the show because of a severe family issue...but have no clue why anyone would throw water on an effort to make the best of anything. Sorry to watch this spat. In fact, it's pathetic. I congratulate Mike for risking anything and making the show what it is. Re: [meteorite-list] Attendees at Tucson Show
This will be my last post on the Tucson subject so feel free to get the last word in if you find it to be important. I need to focus on more positive things like the Superbowl. My wife is busy preparing food for all the guys and girls attending an out-of-doors Superbowl party. I should feel fortunate that the weather is good enough around here to watch a big screen outside. It will provide a rare escape from the reality of what is happening to perfectly honest and hard working people these last few years. Some the happiest people I know are content with simple things that do not complicate their lives. Perhaps I can learn a thing or two from them. On that note; It is time to tap the keg and forget about this nonsense, Adam - Original Message - From: "Michael Farmer" To: "Raremeteorites" Cc: Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2015 11:02 AM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Attendees at Tucson Show When you stay in $20 per night hotels on Miracle Mile where the street girls show their goods usually rented by the hour, nothing less can be expected. Re: [meteorite-list] Tucson pics?
Good luck at the show. I do not depend much on eBay these days although it is a good place to liquidate items if you are not concerned about getting anywhere near top dollar. I still believe better deals are to be had online these days for collectors who choose to stay home and make deals. I feel sorry for all the Tucson show attendees that came early believing they would get a good deal (full retail) from the Moroccans who's inventories are stuck in customs. It is appalling that some meteorite personalities would be involved with crowdfunding (kistarter scams) and I have no clue who Bagdad Bob is since I tend to stay away from heavily monitored social media. I leave Facebook to my wife who can waste time comparing recipes, posting pictures and other small talk.Even the creator of Facebook didn't have an account until a few years ago. He doesn't have time for it.
