Hello,

Please remove me from the mailing list.

I enjoy it, but I'm going overseas for about a month and do not relish the
thought of a thousand+ of emails upon my return =). I'll re-subscribe as soon
as I
get back.

Thank you and Happy Holidays to all,

Re: [meteorite-list] CHONDRULES

2006-10-23 Thread makinsomenoise
Here is a definition from pg 908 of Meteorites in the Early Solar System II,
Lauretta and McSween, editors, that might help answer the question. It is a
great book, that for the Glossary alone meteorite enthusiasts should get a copy
of.

"chondrite-- originally defined as a meteorite that contained chondrules; now
also implies a bulk chemical composition, for all but the most volatile
elements, that is not far removed from that of the Sun."

[meteorite-list] AD-Ebay-Museum Quality Full H3 slice

2005-11-01 Thread makinsomenoise
Hello all,
I have a beautiful museum quality full slice (172.9g) of Dhofar 977 (H3)
ending on Ebay Wednesday evening. I don't think I can use any more adjectives
to hype it up than that, although I could surely try, but it really is nice.
It's superb in fact, even excellent. And I don't think there are many H3 slices
of this size out there. Ok.
It is only up to $0.35 a gram right now, with no reserve. So feel free to
take a look and bid ridiculous amounts of money =).

[meteorite-list] AD-Ebay, Dhofar 979, Ureilite

2005-10-19 Thread makinsomenoise
Hello all,
I have an absolutely beautiful 10.98g partslice of the ureilite Dhofar 979
ending on ebay tomorrow evening. Currently it is only at $3 a gram, sad. It
truely is an amazing ureilite. I haven't shown it to one person without them
being amazed at how its large crystals change color as you change the angle of
light on it. It shouldn't be missed, or at least seen. At any rate, thanks for
looking but unfortuneatly my pictures don't do it any justice.
