Hello Steve and list,

I have some of the CR2 NWA 852 (paired with these other CR2s) thin sections coming in this week if you would like one.  The big ones are spoken for, but I have 2 of the smaller ones ~140 sq. mm in size for $70 still unspoken for.

Dear List    I am one of about 4
dealers who bought up CR2s in Morroco. We all shared our
good fortune with friends, collectors and Ebay
buyers. This however was a very temporary opportunity
which will never be seen again. Dean Bessy allowed
collectors for a once in a lifetime chance at letting
them have CR2s at $23 a gram. People who would never
have dreamed one year ago at such an opportunity, now
proudly display their CR2s and are expanding their
collections. He will sell out at Tucson leaving only
three of us with the lion's share of this find. The
strewn field is small and totally worked over. Those of
us left will never after Tucson let this rare material
sell for under $100 a gram.I probably control half of
the fall and will personally keep or donate it to the
Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto , Canada. [ about4,000+
grams]. Thus supply and demand kick in and those that
have it are in no hurry to sell it at low prices after
Feb. 2002. For those that bought CR2s from Dean,
Congratulations on the great deal. For those who didn't
it's highly unlikely you will ever be offered this gift
again, which was more of a temporary parntnership to
help offset Deans investment.Dean has done well by
buying from the source and adding a bit of a mark
up. He is providing material today that we could only
have dreamed of a year ago at affordable prices.
He has helped to expand the base of our collecting
community and is an asset to us.Those who bought in the
past at high prices should not worry. The material is
limited and will continue to sell to high prices in the
future. Best regards

I was thinking more towards the fact that here we have an important meteorite and a good portion is being donated for science and a good portion was made available to collectors without wads of money to spend and during a down time in our economy at that.  Here in the Airplane Capitol of the World, Wichita, Kansas...3,500 airplane jobs have been laid off.     Someone asked if Dean made any money and you can be sure he did.  Just not near the money others made.  And guess where he is right now, if you are wondering why he has been silent through all are NWA talk?   In the CR2 strewfield.  Lets hope he is able to find more and be able to bring it ont he market at a fair price.     It will be interesting to see what the price of this meteorite stables at.  You will note that most meteorite all come on the market originally at once sorce.  This meteorite was sold to several dealersprobley at different prices as well.     I would also like to see this meteorite, the DAG CO3, the SAH L6's, and others like it get one name.  This is something I do not think we will ever see but would seem o make sence to me.     Mark Bostick - Original Message - From: Michael Farmer Sent: Saturday, January 19, 2002 1:30 PM To: MARK BOSTICK; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] CR2s a temporary bargain    Well said, except the part about controlling it, that is not true. - Original Message - From: MARK BOSTICK To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, January 19, 2002 1:43 AM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] CR2s a temporary bargain Well Said!!   Mark     - Original Message - From: David Gregory Sent: Saturday, January 19, 2002 12:49 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [meteorite-list] CR2s a temporary bargain  Dear List    I am one of about 4 dealers who bought up CR2s in Morroco. We all shared our good fortune with friends, collectors and Ebay buyers. This however was a very temporary opportunity which will never be seen again. Now all the people thumbing there noses at NWA's

People who would never have dreamed one year ago at such an opportunity, now proudly display their CR2s and are expanding their collections. He will sell out at Tucson leaving only three of us with the lion's share of this find. The strewn field is small and totally worked over. Those of us left will never after Tucson let this rare material sell for under $100 a gram.I probably control half of the fall and will personally keep or donate it to the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto , Canada. [ about4,000+ grams]. Thus supply and demand kick in and those that have it are in no hurry to sell it at low prices after Feb. 2002. For those that bought CR2s from Dean, Congratulations on the great deal. For those who didn't it's highly unlikely you will ever be offered this gift again, which was more of a temporary parntnership to help offset Deans investment.Dean has done well by buying from the source and adding a bit of a mark up. He is providing material today that we could only have dreamed of a year ago at affordable prices. He has helped to expand the base of our collecting community and is an asset to us.Those who bought in the past at high prices should not worry. The material is limited and will continue to sell to high prices in the future. Best regards David Gregory

  Dear List

I am one of about 4
dealers who bought up CR2s in Morroco. We all shared our good fortune with
friends, collectors and Ebay buyers. This however was a very temporary
opportunity which will never be seen again. Dean Bessy allowed collectors for
a once in a lifetime chance at letting them have CR2s at $23 a gram. People
who would never have dreamed one year ago at such an opportunity, now proudly
display their CR2s and are expanding their collections. He will sell out at
