Re: [meteorite-list] meteorwrong education - refer to?
Steven and All, As long " we are not expressly warning that person to retract their bid," and I will not be contacting anyone directly, I see no violation of eBay rules. ( Can you envision some newbie wondering why he got five different emails encouraging him to visit my meteorwrong page!!!???) Unless someone comes up with an eBay rule prohibiting education on a "Me Page," I have NO OBJECTIONS. Nor do I think the page would be in jeopardy. Sounds like a helpful idea. Best, Ken Me Page #9632 QUESTION: If a bidder has a bid on an obviously meteorwrong, can we email that person with the address of Ken's meteorwrong page? While we are not expressly warning that person to retract their bid, (and the seller could report us to Ebay) they can examine the page...draw their own conclusions...and retract their own bid once they have been educated. Does this sound duable? Would Ken's page be in jeopardy? Best to all, Steven L. [meteorite-list] meteorwrong education - refer to?
Hi list... Indeed, I can only echo the statements other have written about Ken's meteorwrong page. This does bring up a question though...I have made a number of Ebay meteorite purchases and except for my old nemisis "Romansells" who I went after (he kept posting slag for 2-3 years) I have somewhat backed off the warning of bidders with the new Ebay mechanisms in place. QUESTION: If a bidder has a bid on an obviously meteorwrong, can we email that person with the address of Ken's meteorwrong page? While we are not expressly warning that person to retract their bid, (and the seller could report us to Ebay) they can examine the page...draw their own conclusions...and retract their own bid once they have been educated. Ken, Fantastic job. You have done the EBay public an incredible service. Everyone on the List must keep vigilant to future meteorwrongs which there will be out of mistakes and calulated fraud. I think it's a GREAT idea! Great job Ken! I don't do much ebaying except for "buy it nows" once in a while but it's good someone is trying to educate and stop the meteorwrongs.
