[uf-discuss] Canonical List of Link @rel attribute values?

2006-12-30 Thread Mike Schinkel
Does anyone know if there is a canonical List of Link @rel attribute
values?
Are there any standards, conventions, etc. anywhere?

Thanks in advance.

The HTML 4 spec has a list of terms:
http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/types.html

other than that the posibilities for the rel attribute are open.

There are several microformats which make use of the rel attribute -
those could be considered conventions.

Thanks! You know after I saw this I was able to find this[1] too, which
ironically is a different list!

Without drilling down into them all, my memory was that none of them used
the Link element as it not visible; am I incorrect on that?

--- correct, those are pulled from various RFC, such as ATOM and others.

--- they are just defined for the rel attribute, so they can be used
on both the link and the a, but for microformats we are only
concerned with the visible data, and there for the rell attribute on
a

Thanks. At the moment I'm only interested in LINK, so I guess my question
was off-topic, but I was pretty sure someone here would know and wasn't sure
exactly where the question would have been more appropriate.
