Re: [Mimedefang] new install
You also need to copy the file "redhat/mimedefang-sysconfig" from mimedefang source directory to "/etc/sysconfig/mimedefang" file. Then restart mimedefang service. --Aniruddha Barua. - Original Message From: "dhottin...@harrisonburg.k12.va.us" To: "mimedefang@lists.roaringpenguin.com" Sent: Wed, November 11, 2009 12:07:09 AM Subject: [Mimedefang] new install Ive installed mimedefang sucessfully. [Mimedefang] new install
I am having some problems first of all i followed the instructions for an install on freebsd and when i get to the MIMEDefang includes a configuration file for its SpamAssassin calls: /usr/local/etc/mimedefang/spamassassin/sa-mimedefang.cf Well the /spamassassin/sa-mimedefang.cf is not there. the spamassassian dir is not there. nor are the following etc/mail/spamassassin/sa-mimedefang.cf /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf /etc/mail/spamassassin.cf I have tried to reinstall spamassassian. lol so since i couldn't find it i skipped it and continued with the install. Now i get the following errors in my maillog Jul 22 12:34:50 mail mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Can't locate Mail/Header.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/mach /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.4/BSDPAN /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.4/mach /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.4 .) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/MIME/Head.pm line 119. Decreasing the size of attachments clamd scans would help one thing---it would help you get infected by viruses. :-) Really, you should increase the timeouts in Sendmail's configuration file. [Mimedefang] New install oddity
New install on two systems running Sol 8. Running the latest of MD SA and ClamAV. Installs went nicely but I am noticing this oddity in the syslog. mimedefang[13714]: [ID 738095 mail.warning] i5LG1M8Y007584: smfi_addheader returned MI_FAILURE This is always preceded by a nice spike in clamd's CPU utilization.
