I got it working again after removing all the stuff I had in my

Now I need to get wifi working again…this update made a lot of problems…

As per https://www.openssh.com/report.html this query would be better
directed to the portable list openssh-unix-...@mindrot.org. Please
send any followups there.

This means the little test program in configure either failed to build
and run or did not produce the expected output. The exact reason will
be in config.log (although you may have to scroll back a way to find
it). A common cause of this is not having added the new lib directory
to the runtime linker config via ldconfig(8).

fd0 at fdc0 drive 0: density unknown

2017-09-07 Thread Arfnokill
Using snapshots on amd64. Since two days ago the kernel prints this fd0 at fdc0
drive 0: density unknown very late during boot.

It starts reordering libraries, and BAM... fd0 at fdc0 drive 0: density unknown
in blue background. It's just cosmetic I guess, but it's uncomfortable.

Anybody else seeing this with recent snapshots?

Bug in dhclient, isc_named or misconfiguration ?

2017-09-07 Thread Zbyszek Żółkiewski
Hi group,

Recently i come up with this problem: running isc_named + dhclient cause
isc_named to periodically loose binding to TCP port:

Sep 7 13:45:02 ns dhclient[12533]: DHCPREQUEST on vio0 to 169.254.169.254
Sep 7 13:45:02 ns dhclient[12533]: DHCPACK from 169.254.169.254
(fe:00:00:88:fe:63)
Sep 7 13:45:02 ns named[76593]: no longer listening on XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX#53
Sep 7 13:45:02 ns named[76593]: listening on IPv4 interface vio0,
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX#53
Sep 7 13:45:02 ns named[76593]: binding TCP socket: address in use
Sep 7 13:45:02 ns dhclient[12533]: bound to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -- renewal in
40027 seconds.

XXX is redacted public IP.

This is OpenBSD 6.1
In bind i have already configured interface-interval 0; - but this do not fix
problem, any idea ? This problem looks like isolated to OpenBSD.

Thanks,

_

Have you checked for a separate CMOS
battery - which is probably long dead?

there is one, usually wrapped in a yellow plastic. a Lithium battery. I
have seen dozens of thinkpads of your vintage. From model to model it
might change place and way to access it. Usually under the palmrest or
under the keyboard. Sometimes near the RAM access door.

A non original hard-disk might give you a Bios error, but will work. No
need for any extra partition, you can install OpenBSD (or NetBSD or also
Linux) just straight on it. I have done that on many thinkpads, in
cluding models very similar to yours.

Portable OpenSSH 7.5p1 with LibreSSL 2.6.1 fails

2017-09-07 Thread Heiko
Hello,

./config for Portable OpenSSH 7.5p1 with LibreSSL 2.6.1 fails on Debian
Linux:
checking OpenSSL header version... not found
configure: error: OpenSSL version header not found.

$ openssl version
LibreSSL 2.6.1

I did it with this options:

./configure --without-openssl-header-check --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh \
--with-ssl-dir=/usr/local --without-pie --without-xauth \
--with-zlib

How can I fix this?

Thank you in advance.
