I'm not Tanvir, but I think the T60 is similar enough for this to be relevant: I run my R60 with bsd.mp with one modification - 'enable acpi'. Makes the machine a lot more responsive. It's fairly common for them to get grabbed right as they leave the x-ray machine. The laptop goes through, then the queue of people stops and your computer moves on without you. I don't put mine on unless there is a clear path for me all the way through or the waiting area is fully enclosed. The TSA circus is just that, a circus, and makes no improvement in any aspect of travel, let alone security. And actually it appears to increase the probability that my baggage or its contents get ripped off. I refuse to be rushed in the queue: I've got 2-3 hours before each flight thanks to the 2000 coupe d'etat. Now with that tale out of the way, what's good for laptops these days? I have been pleased with the PowerBook G4 and displeased with the MacBook Pro Duo core. The latter is hotter and consumes almost 2x the power. Regards, -Lars
