Also remember that Outreachy specifically targets minorities and women, who also feel like outsiders, perhaps even more than European men do :). More people working on the project is always better, especially because we have a lot of unfilled roles. Hello, If Shoutcast was only stopper then I think It's solved and let's on this release. More Shoutcast work can be attached to next release if it doesn't get into 1.12 and yes we need more sane release schedule/system people doesn't allow it's released when it's ready anymore. I would go with timebase-release system it's most idiotic but working. Attract more people for development (as we seen some have join us during 1.12!) it would be marvelous even though we Europeans feel outsiders but I can live with that. I thought I did address questions about what work is needed to release 1.12 in that thread you mention. Currently the only code blocker is the shoutcast streaming issue. We also need to doublecheck the manual and get translations updated. I agree with sean and what I personnally understand by "leadership" are 2 things : - We don't have a decision process published - We don't have a release management cycle published (merge window, feature freeze milestone, string freeze milestone, release goals and decision, ...).
