What was the peak bitrate printed out when you mplexed the stream ?

There were changes in mpeg2enc, but the bitrate control shoul be the
same as it was in in the release before.

Andrew changed the reate controll, before the 1.6.2 release, but that
version was causing problems. So he had reverted it back to the version
before.

[Mjpeg-users] Image stabilizer added

2004-04-30 Thread Steven M. Schultz
Hi -

Another new program has been added to the CVS version of mjpegtools.

'y4mstabilizer' reduces the jerky images produced by camera shake.

I didn't write it - but the author is a member of both the -devel
and -users mailing lists so reports of bugs can be made to the
list.

No manpage (yet) but the usage() summary is (in the author's words)
"verbose" and has example uses.

Enjoy!

Steven Schultz

[Mjpeg-users] New denoiser in CVS!

2004-04-30 Thread Steven Boswell
For those of you brave enough to try the CVS version of mjpegtools, our
new denoiser has been checked in & made a part of the standard build!
It's called "y4mdenoise". It comes with a man page to help you figure
out how to run it.

http://195.70.35.24/~ulatekh/ contains examples of the denoiser in action.

Enjoy! And please let me know what you think of the new denoiser! (I'm
kinda jonesing for some feedback hereLOL)

Just an after thought. The picture looks normal when viewing the program
on the tv in a normal fashion. I have the lml33 input connected to a vcr
and the output connected to a tv so I can view on the tv what I'm
recording thru the lml33. If I view the program thru the lml33 while i"m
recording it is too bright.

The picture looks normal when viewing the program but it's too bright when
I play back what I recorded.

I'm using the latest driver from ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2.
I'm using xorg not xfree86. Could that make a difference?

Does the picture on the TV look normal?

> Does anyone have a lml33 working on a 2.6 kernel?

Worked fine for me last time I tested it (which was right before I
submitted the new driver for inclusion in the 2.6 kernel).

Re: [Mjpeg-users] Novice needs help with bright washout

2004-04-30 Thread raray
I have the output connected to a tv. It makes no difference connected or
not. I run "v4lctl bright 0" and the tv that the output is connected to
flickers and returns to normal. If I run "v4lctl show" it returns "bright:
0" but when I record the picture is the same. Too much white. I'll try to
dig deeper if someone can suggest where to start.

The LinVS package that comes with the lml33 will not compile on 2.6 so I
can't even test it.

Does anyone have a lml33 working on a 2.6 kernel?
