Re: [WikimediaMobile] Travis integration for Jenkins (and npm)
A few more details: A patch like this to your repository allows you to trigger travis: https://github.com/cscott/mw-ocg-bundler/commit/8565c79549e107ffa10fa817d00348b85ba9dbb9 I think the missing piece from the CI team is to add the proper gerrit remote in jenkins (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/173045/ and https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/173046/2/bin/travis-set-env.sh ). --scott ___ Mobile-l mailing list Mobile-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mobile-l

adding in the QA list quote name=C. Hi Dmitry, How about promoting the app to Mobile Web users and on the desktop site with occasional watchlist notices? Re: [WikimediaMobile] Wikipedia apps pre-installations
Thanks Adam. Hi Pine -- we'll be as open as we can about such partnerships but keep in mind that the world of carriers and device manufacturers is very different in terms of communications than ours. It's unlikely that any partner we have will allow us to share information before the press release is out. It's unfortunate but that's how that world works. -Toby On Wed, Jul 15, 2015 at 7:56 AM, Adam Baso ab...@wikimedia.org wrote: Hi Pine, Thanks for the message. Re: [WikimediaMobile] [Apps] New Android production release
Hi Pine -- Thanks for the suggestion! We are in fact planning on running a test where we prompt app installations via banner to a small audience -- we'd like to understand how effective these banners are and will they continue to use the app once it is installed. It's important for us to understand how our readers will react to such banners before we make larger scale commitments. -Toby On Wed, Jul 15, 2015 at 4:06 PM, Pine W wiki.p...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Dmitry, How about promoting the app to Mobile Web users and on the desktop site with occasional watchlist notices? Re: [WikimediaMobile] [Apps] New Android production release
Thanks Toby. I continue to note that mobile web is much better suited to editing than the Android app is, so I hope that mobile web users, particularly those who are logged in, will have the option to disable the banners. I do think that a test like you're describing is a good idea. Thanks, Pine Pine On Wed, Jul 15, 2015 at 4:22 PM, Toby Negrin tneg...@wikimedia.org wrote: Hi Pine -- Thanks for the suggestion!
