Re: [Mobile.AI] requesting performence review of Moto G Gen 3rd.
Hi Mahesh, thanks for the quick response. as far as the first issue is concerned, i'm also facing the same with my Moto e 1st gen phone after upgrading to Android 5.1. it seems that this issue is Android 5.1 specific. the second issue related to ringer going silent, has been addressed by the recent system update. so if the price of iphone 5s doesn't come down to about 25k in next few days, i would go for the Moto g 3rd gen. thanks again for the quick response. Re: [Mobile.AI] requesting performence review of Moto G Gen 3rd.
Hi, The issue regarding ringtone going silent without any reason, is there in moto e second gen 4g too. The ringtones wouldn't play even from settings\sounds and notifications\phone ringtone. Once the handset is restarted, it starts ringing. However, this issue is only for ringtone and not for notification tone. On 9/17/15, gufran ahmedwrote: > hi mahesh, yesterday the motorola has released the latest update, > could you please let us know the major improvments specially related > to accessibility? > > On 9/17/15, Ajay Minocha wrote: >> Mahesh sir: >> Which synthesizer do you use? >> >> >> On 9/16/15, Mahesh S. The general level of performance is pretty good and the phone that comes with the latest Android has already got a couple of system updates. However, there are a couple of issues I have noticed. There is a problem with the notification panel when working with TalkBack. Sometimes when there are many notifications, when you double tap a notification, it goes to the home screen and does not open the relevant app. Some times it would open the app associated with the above or below notification. I am given to understand this is a TalkBack problem as the issue does not happen when TalkBack is turned off. But I believe this issue of TalkBack is not there on every device, it is more device specific, or more stok Android specific. The other issue I noticed is that sometimes, the ringer goes silent without you activating anything. The volumes would be shown as 100 % but the phone won't ring when there is a call. You will have to restart the phone to get the ringer back. I haven't really explored the issue at length to provide additional details as to whether it is happening when TalkBack is on or whether it is a device specific problem as such. Re: [Mobile.AI] requesting performence review of Moto G Gen 3rd.
I am using Eloquence TTS. As for the update, it is not an OS update as the Moto G 2015 already had the latest Android running on it. It was a system update that has seemingly addressed some security issues and some other bugs. The TalkBack related issue is still there with the notification panel, haven't come across the ringtone silencing issue after that, but then I never had it on a regular basis, it would happen from time to time, so don't really know whether it is fixed. Re: [Mobile.AI] about lollypop 5.1 update in moto g gen 1
Dear Gufran bhai, first of all thank you for passing on this info. as soon as i went through your mail last night, i downloaded the new version and installed the same. i haven't yet had enough scope to check the full performance of it but let me tell you that it is an improvement in two major areas of our concern--1. the issue of audio cut out is absent. it has been taken care of, i guess. secondly, the buttons like "home", "back" function with a bit more regularity. thirdly, the problem of having to select the SIM while making a call while holding the phone close for the absence of sound has also been taken care of. so, my suggestion to you would be to go for it as soon as possible. The notification bug has been discussed over the Eyes-Free list as TalkBack is going through a fresh beta cycle. Hopefully the stable release would fix it... There is a problem with the notification panel when working with TalkBack. Sometimes when there are many notifications, when you double tap a notification, it goes to the home screen and does not open the relevant app. Some times it would open the app associated with the above or below notification. You will have to restart the phone to get the ringer back.
