 Dear iPhone users in Delhi,

I have a very few pieces of both the standard and advanced versions of
 the
Speed Dots screen protector for iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5 and iPhone
 5s

I purchased them from US. The price I got including postage is 9
 dollars.
If I had got them posted to India the postage cost would have been too
 much.

I got it posted to a US address and got them here courtesy one of the
 list
 members.

I am ready to give it away to anyone who is interested for Rs. 540 each.
You will have to collect it from NAB Delhi Helpdesk after Monday once I
have confirmed its availability. Please understand that it is difficult
 for
me to arrange for its postage or delivery. I was ordering it for myself
 and
just bought extra pieces thinking that others will also like it.

Please read all about this screen guard online. Just type speed dots in
google and you will get lot of information.

Its website address and brief description is given below.

Please contact me only by email. Do not reply to this mail to clutter
 this
list. Please send mails only to prashant...@gmail.com

I may not be available on phone. Few close friends have already taken it
and I have less than 10 pieces in total.

 Review from

 http://blog.gsmarena.com/speed-dots-makes-life-of-the-visually-impaired-easy
 -lets-them-operate-their-iphone-like-a-boss/

Speed Dots makes life of the visually impaired easy, lets them operate
 their
 iPhone like a boss

Speed Dots is a California-based company that makes a special kind of
 screen
protector for iPhones and iPod touches. These screen protectors have dots
placed at strategic locations that helps visually impaired users operate
 these devices with ease.

These screen protectors work with the Voiceover feature in iOS devices
 that
reads out functions on the screen to help visually impaired users but
 thanks
to the dots, it makes locating a particular area on the screen much
 easier.
The dots are all located where the controls usually lie on the screen and
since most iOS applications follow the same basic UI guidelines it makes
 the
job of Speed Dots even easier.

Here are the functions that you can access with Speed Dots:

 Top Left: Back/Cancel

 Top Right: Ok/Done

Below Ok: Add contact from address book in SMS/email

 Top Center: Search/Heading/Safari address bar

Center of Screen: Number “5″ on the phone pad

Middle Right: Send button for text messages

Across the Bottom: 5 evenly spaced dots representing soft key functions

 Lower Left: Shift

 Lower right: Delete/Backspace

Subject: Re: [Mobile.AI] Nexus 6 mobile phone

 hi first question.
will spice get android update free?
 ans.
as android is a free open source os all phones get updates free of
charge the only question is when will they get updated some phones
like nexus and moto and spice and all android 1 phones get updates
 before any phones.
 so the symple answer is.
yes spice and all phones will get android l update before moto g and
moto e phones around 12 to 15 november.
we would have got the update before but it got delaied cause of a wifi
 bug in final preview build.
in nexus phones which drained the battery.
 now second question.
 * Stock android, we get the option of google keyboard which is 100%
accessible, does it mean it is build in phone or I need to buy
 external google keyboard to use?
google keyboard is nothing but a software keyboard and not a external
hard ware keyboard it looks exectly like a computer keyboard this
keyboard comes with the phone and u will only need to update it from
 the playstore.
so no need to purchase any external keyboard.
people purchase external hardware bluetooth keyboards but i would
consider it as a waste to do this if your on stock android u just need
 to learn.
one more point although u didnt ask.
if u have never used a touch screen phone and if u take a touch screen
phone in your hand u will feal that u will not be able to use this
 phone.
dont worry even i felt like that u just need to learn and dont take
tention i would also suggest for all the new people learning android.
go to settings accessability then talkback and then to talkback settings.
in that there is 1 option use single tap to select experimentel this
option is enabled by default which means if u just single tap on any
option it will open u need to disible this till u learn properly

ok doing it in reverce order hear.
 1. stock android and android are the same the only difference in it is
that people like samsung modify the android by putting things like
touch viz ui htc puts there sence ui but stock android is unmodified
untouched version of android which is released as google designs it.
 2. moto g second gen costs 12990 and runs stock android 4.4.4 and will
get upgrade to android l by december.
if u go for stock android u will get google keyboard which is 100%
accessable there will be no problem to send sms and all u need to
practice typing i learned everything in a day by listening to podcasts
and with all of the help from mailing lists so there is no problem to
go for android it will be best to go for a unmodified android for the
first time till u learn how to use it

Truecaller is one of the most popular apps today. The developers behind
it have a vision of changing the way we see our phonebooks and it looks
like they are constantly working to improve our experience. The company
has just launched a new app called the Truedialer which is a dialer app
 for smartphones.
 Truedialer
It takes over from your regular dialer and gives you information about
the contact you are calling such as profile photo, name (if it’s a
number not on your list) and so on. It gives you access to relevant
information about people you are about to call, and lets you save the
information into your phonebook for later use too.
So the app works in a manner similar to the Trucaller. Every time you
dial a number, it looks up in its database to give you access to the
information about the number you are calling. Another nifty feature is
that it fills up the missing contact information in your call log too.
And if a number has been reported by the Truecaller community regarding
being a spam or a scam number, you’ll be warned before you dial too.
The Truedialer seems to be pretty much as much functional as the
Truecaller sibling. It is available for free for Android and Windows
 Phone 8.1.

Even navigation is possible. With arrow keys on the keyboard and given the

because the item is already sold out as listed by the seller. but
 you
can contact the seller using the link ask the seller) provided on
 the

particular items on sale at reasonable rates or puts it on auction
 for
specific period of time on ebay. no worries, sellers normally lists
back this item with the different item numbers available on other

[Mobile.AI] Alternative to whatsapp, but only on android.

2014-02-26 Thread Divyanshu Ganatra
http://www.kontalk.org/
What is Kontalk

Kontalk is an effort to write an instant messaging system - primarly
designed for embedded devices, especially smartphones. Though currently
there is only an Android Client, it aims to be cross-platform compatible.
iOS, Symbian and even a desktop client will be developed (developers
wanted!).
The network

*Kontalk is not owned by anyone*. The network is run by the community for
the community. The network of servers can virtually be expanded to an
infinite number. You can also set up your own server! We believe
communication is a human right. Therefore, anyone on the planet should be
able to connect freely and for free. Kontalk is designed to be free and to
remain as such *forever*.
Distributed network

The Kontalk network can continue running even if just one of the servers is
up. The network itself is designed to not allow any single point of failure
and it protects itself from broken servers.
Security

All data exchanged inside the Kontalk network is *encrypted*, and user IDs
are always hashed, so that even the server owners cannot retrieve the phone
number of a user.
Web of Trust

The Kontalk network of servers is public: anyone can join with their own
server. A server is untrusted at the beginning. By means of a voting system
- based on strong asymmetric encryption - and by working actively in the
network, it can become a trusted server and get more privileges.

It might help us if you could tell us more.

 Thanks

There is no other version of whatsapp that can be used but the one you

upgrade available. i have tried endlessly to be able to get better
information on a group chat, to no avail.
In fact there is a strange thing happening when i look at contact info

2014-02-25 Thread Divyanshu Ganatra
@ Zujar. Thank you for taking time to explain the various new
features. Will try out the option you suggested to read lengthy chat
messages.
@ Payal. i've figured out a bit lengthy way to turn off the packet
data and thus stop the consumption on the battery. its not perfect but
works like a charm in a pinch. you will need to install an app called
M guard which is free from nokia store. run a memory check post
installation, and disable whatsap from starting automatically. now if
you want whatsap to stay completely off and not use packet data, just
exit it and reboot your phone. whatsapp is now not enabled and thus
ensures your packet data stayhs off. if only i could figure out how to
do this without re booting my phone ..
thanks

I second Hozefa though do not have a C5 handset but N79. A couple of
 options
 that have become accessible include:

 * Contact Info

 * Names of group members in Group Info

 * Selected contact name on Add Member screen of Group Info

 * Status options

 * About screen

Also it's installation program is completely accessible now. However,
there's still room for improvement in the following areas:

 * Smilies

 * Contact name in long group chats

 * Line-wise scroll in chat window

Here's a lengthy workaround for reading long chats (group as well as
 individual):

 * Open the chat window.

 * Select Options (using [key1]) and then Chat History Send.

 * Press [key2] when it presents various sending options.

 * A text file is created which can be found underMemory
Card\WAExport folder using the File Manager program on your phone.

 * Press the [Send} or green key, it lists various sending options.

 * Select via Message which is generally the first option, the file
content appear in the body of a new text/multimedia message (depending on
content) with a blank To box.

 * The chat can be read now like a SMS.

 * This message can be closed using [key2], while closing the
 message
you can decide whether to discard it or save as a draft under your phone's
 Messaging program.

If someone knows of a better option then kindly suggest. I'm not willing to
shell out on IOS/Android for now (lol).

 Best Regards,

 Zujar..
