Hello Ketan,
sorry for the delayed response. if you are still facing the problem
with DB app, do the following:
1. when you open the app for the first time, select your prefered
city. however, the first screen of the app is not accessible. you will
find navigate up and search buttons on the top left and right corners
respectively. below these two buttons in the middle of the screen,
there are nine square shaped icons in the 3 * 3 grid.. although
talkback doesn't describe these but you can hear a little sound when
you explore them by touch. to select your preferred city double tap on
the sixth icon i.e. third in the second row and then type the first
few letters of the city in the edit box and choose the desired one
from the list. you can select multiple cities.
2. now tap on the navigate up button on the top left corner and select
the news category to read.

when i  updated the app, suddenly the voice accent changed, quality

It indeed has been a job well done from the Google TTS team. However,
I wouldn't really make it my first choice TTS engine as yet, as there
still is a massive gap between Eloquence and the Google TTS in terms

Hi,

I too, am not facing any difficulty in reading Hindi text, specially, in 
Dainik Bhaskar app and I am thrilled that finally, there is a TTS which can 
read both Hindi and English without switching to different TTS again and 
again and it to some extent gives the feeling of iOS when it automatically 
starts reading Hindi content.


For those who haven't updated, someone perhaps mentioned that one needs to 
separately download the Voice data for Hindi language, in my case I didn't 
have to do this as after updating the TTS, it showed the Hindi language and 
once selected, the voice changed. The performance is really nice and 
pronounciation is also not too bad. Finally, it looks I will not suggest 
anyone to pay 1200 for Elequence and would rather advice to adapt to the new 
Beloved TTS from Google! Also, this is the first release with support to 
Hindi language and I am quite confident it would further be enhanced in the 
coming releases. Congrats Google and Android! the days are not far when VI 
community would prefer Android over iOS even in developed nations!

it. although in Rajasthan Patrika web views are very annoying.

 the voice data..
 4. now tap on language and check Hindi India in the Launch engine
 settings to use Hindi TTS.

are you trying to read dainik Bhaskar through the app or browser? as
far as NBT app is concerned there is no such issue like web view in
it. although in Rajasthan Patrika web views are very annoying.
so please be specific what problem are you facing in dainik

I am afraid I have to report that this support is like a half-baked
cake.  I have tried the TTS with Dainik Bhaskar, some Marathi
newspapers etc. and no Hindi or very little is actually read.  We need
to write to google fast.

Make sure that the text you are trying to analyse is a Unicode text, I'm not 
having even a single bit of problem on BBC Hindi site, will check some other 
sites later.

I am afraid I have to report that this support is like a half-baked
cake.  I have tried the TTS with Dainik Bhaskar, some Marathi
newspapers etc. and no Hindi or very little is actually read.  We need
to write to google fast.
