[MMouse]: Liner Notes

2000-06-26 Thread Caitlin Poliak

there are a lot of people who don't spell
perfectly.  that doesn't mean they're stupid.  my bet is that they
were just too lazy to spell check.

2000-06-19 Thread Caitlin Poliak

yeah, i don't know what you all were bitching about, but califone was really
good. maybe a bit low key, yes, but who cares. and the show was awesome.
the best part was isaac's random lecture about electricity and water
(prompted by the massive amount of his sweat that was dripping onto all the
cords at his feet and fucking things up). i couldn't hear it all too well
though cause i was all the way on the left side - good view but semi-shitty
sound. anyways, i don't need to ramble.

1.Who are you/where do you reside/how old are you?

Caitlin/from Kirkland, WA but going to school in lovely Oberlin, OH right
now/19
2.What is your favorite mouse song?

Let's see, at the moment I love Dramamine, Neverending Math Equation, +
Grey Ice Water.3.What are five records you couldn't live without?
I could easily put 5 completely different albums here,
but these are some I love:
PJ Harvey - Dry
Sleater-Kinney - Call the Doctor
Modest Mouse - Interstate 8
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One4. Putting records
on the internet for free download:bad or good?

Okay if it's just a few songs, but the whole record is kinda pushing
it.5.  Ebay, bad or good?

I've actually only checked it out once or twice, so I don't really
know.  I suppose it could easily be either, or both.
6.  Russ winning the hottest male contest, is hevoting for
himself or what?

He's not even fucking winning, okay?  Will this question never
die?

7.  Do you own the Japaneese Tour EP?

Only on mp3.
8.  First live show?

Well, besides many Bumbershoot attendances at a young age, I
think it was REM at the Gorge in like 9th grade or
something.
9.  Worst live show?

Sonic Youth opened for REM at that show, and I thought they were
terrible.  I've now grown to like them okay, but at the time I thought they
sucked dick.  They hurt my ears.10.  Favorite sound?

Rain.

11.  least favorite sound?

This annoying girl down the hall getting screwed and yelling REALLY
LOUDLY.12.  girls posting their pictures and email addresseson
the internet bad/good?Well I personally wouldn't do it, but if you want
to deal with the consequences (i.e. scary stalkers), then go for
it.13.  What book should every person in america read?

Cloudsplitter - Russell Banks

14.  Signing to a major bad/good?

Not inherently bad, but I suppose you could get fucked.15.
Wearing the t-shirt of the band you are going tosee?

I think it's a bit dorky, but whatever.16.  Modest Mouse list
being oft-off the topicbad/good?

Good sometimes, but it can get out of hand (like what the fuck is waffle
house?  and I don't give a shit about everyone's religious
beliefs).17.  Favorite beer?

PBR!  Actually, it's crap, but it seems to be all I
drink.  I also like hard cider and fruity girly
drinks.18.  Favorite color?

Ummm...blues, purples, reds.19.  What are you going to name
your first born child?

20.  Five favorite movies (the question that tellstons
about a person)?

Down By Law
Dead Man
Wings of Desire
Pecker
Being John Malkovich

[MMouse]: Re: Napster Banned

2000-04-02 Thread Caitlin Poliak

My college has restriced access to Napster too, but there is a way to get
around it. Go to www.napigator.com and download the Napigator software (for
free), which allows you to bypass the college server and access Napster.
You can even choose which Napster server to connect to, which you couldn't
before. Anyways, I'm not sure exactly how it works, but the Napigator web
page has lots of info.

will you people please stop jacking off about god and
existence and all of that shit?  i'm hoping that we all have our own
convictions, so trying to convert everyone else will not work and is really
annoying.  thanks!
