2000-06-09 Thread Footsteps0

what im listening to as of now-

1. orchid - chaos is me (some amazing chaotic emotional hardcore)

exist)
3. dinosaur jr - green mind
4. don caballero - what burns never returns (pure musical genious)
5. a perfect circle - mer de noms (maynard is unstoppable)

also a lot this week: saetia, the new eminem, reversal of man,
some soviet station, far-tins cans.., portrait, the new sunny day (which
rips).

anyways yeah. some real musical movement for that ass.
fuck off to belle sebastian, all the cookie cutter bands banking on the
"emo-core" sound (this mean you), and to all those god damn
brit groups (excluding the only good british bands- the clash,
radiohead, and u2)

ha, word- blake b.

[MMouse]: pearl jam and indie

2000-04-26 Thread Footsteps0

i dont see what the big deal is with pearl jam touring with different
independent bands... they have always been strongly supportive of indie
musicians in the past.
i dont know if anyone listened to either of the times that they did 'self
pollution radio' where they did live broadcasts of themselves and other bands
performing, and eddie played a lot of his favorite music which included all
sorts of good indie stuff including- multiple dischord bands, sonic youth,
bikini kill etc. also pearl jam has been known to break into sections of
fugazi's 'suggestion' in live performance. just because a band is signed to
a major does not mean that they dont know anything about indie music or do
not have good taste.
stop being such elitist shitheads (not directed at everyone)

What other bands did that beside Palatka? Those were the only shirts like

i have a twelve hour turn shirt like that. THT rocks so hard. they have an
ex-member of palatka though so maybe thats where the idea came from.
i also think i saw a piebald shirt like that once.
