Maria,

I was at the Philly show too, and I have to agree that it was pretty
unbearable, with the heat and all. I guess i should have thought about it
before, but Joan of Arc really isn't that great of a band to see live, but I
do love them. I thought Tristeza was very rad, you?

i checked out joa and euphone at the church here in philadelphia. honestly, im trying
to decide if the show was worth my time, money and sweat [no a/c in a *basement fer
crying out loud!]. euphone were excellent [as always], but joa were a bit on the
not-very-exciting-to-watch side. don't get me wrong, i love their stuff, but i had sat
around for 5 hours [before they opened doors - show was listed starting at 6pm],
endure being in the city on a day that was so goddamned muggy and being stuck in a
room with a lot of people and almost zero ventilation. joa have always been a
sleepytime nighttime music band for me, so it was a hard watch.

im boycotting all summertime church shows, i dont know about you.

that lyric that you claim piebald stole from braid is very cliche. it is
probably in a 100 songs. so they are not breaking any copyright laws, you are
just over reacting. also i think that it fits very well in the song and that
cd is awesome

braid sucks
they weren't the first to write
"it's not what you say it's how you say it"
thats like trying to trademark, "god bless you"
get over it
oh
and piebald sucks too

hey, i was wondering if anyone was attending the joan of arc show at the
space in worcester massachusetts on the 28th...(not the middle east show the
next night. im not old enough to get into there)well i was just wondering
whether anyone knew what time the show started?i am completely lost and i
dont know where to look to find out the time. i could probably call. but that
would be too easy. and way too logical. ah well.

and about that ep. dont you think that it would behoove modest mouse to
eventually release it -- like sell it in stores. to just sell a few at shows
is a bit ridiculous. i would expect that they may eventually release all of
the songs on that ep on perhaps their next album, on the future 7", or even
as an ep. i dont know. whatever.

is anyone familiar with the band piebald? and was unfortunate enough (as i
was) to pick up their new release ("if it werent for venetian
blinds")..well in one of the songs (around #7 or so) they have stolen a
braid lyric!!! "its not what you say-its how you say it"...this really pisses
me off. because i initially really liked that braid lyric, and then for a
band just to go and take it. i mean. it doesnt even come off good in the
song. are they infringing on some sort of copywrite law or something? hm.
