[MMouse]: shirts and shit

2000-05-31 Thread blucadet3 do you connect?

Hey hey hey. Its the list shirt guy agian. I still have not recieved any
shirt designs yet. Is this a contest or what? I was'nt going to do one
myself for ethical reasons (like if I won everyone could shout FIX!) but i
may have to if i dont get some stuff soon. I wanted to get this done this
summer guys and gals. So please if you want send a design do it soon.
The Cure was fantastic in New Orleans and Dallas.
Im going to be at the Modest Mouse show in Dallas. I'll be the thin kid in
the Cure t-shirt with a very tall curly haired guy standing beside me. My
name is Kevin and his is Nick, come say hi and stuff.
On that same note does anyone know if you can video tape at this venue? I
really want to make a movie if its cool. Any dallas locals let me know if
you know asap. Also point me to cool stuff to do before the show. Thanks
for your support.

but THEY don't have Variety! we will have so much variety with all of our
eclectic shirts that no 2 will look the same. some will have ringers, some
jerseys, some thrift store finds, others regular, and they will be in all the
colors of the rainbow. And another thing, their's are made in sweatshops in
Honduras, and OUR's will be made in a dorm room in the US, both will be made
for almost nothing, but in ours, the worker(s) are happy :). It'll be indie,
don't worry about.

[MMouse]: shirts/M&A cover

2000-04-23 Thread Dave Edwards

i'd vote for shirts w/ the collar and cuff thing as opoosed to the 3/4 length sleeve
baseball style shirts. I've always hated those things.
That M&A album cover sucks, epecially the "modest mouse" font, all 3-D and swooshed
back. yuck.

hungover and negative,

well (that being buy cheap sweet shirts at goodwill
and screen their logo on the back)

they can be both very cool and very cheese, but cheese works.

> Shirts would be a great idea, but you should have everyone who wants one
simpy send you the $$ for tshirt and shipping and the size they want, so
you know in advance, and can go order them. that way no money is lost by
you. Ive done it this way before when making tshirts, just ordering the
sizes you need, and it works well. But, no pink plz, or at least have 2
shirts one pink and one another color. - Cameron

yeah like can anyone make a form over the internet where we can go to to
send our orders or whatever? keep stuff organized. i don't mind if there
are pink shirts or anything but like there should be some diversity i
guess. if you're gonna have pink, having blue is probably a good idea.
before we start planning this out, the person who's in charge should
probably explain what he or she is thinking of doing.

yeah i dont want pink either.i like blue, grey or black...nice
neutral type colors that go w/ pretty much anything.
yeah i think sending the money first to whoever is in charge of this is a
good idea

Hmm..

Don't post much, but I thought I'd mention that I was watching mtv, god
forbid, and there was a an english vj awhile back who announced shit(well,
years now). anyway, one day he was on one of those crazy mtv vj masquerades
where he was out playing paint ball... yet, wait!... he was wearing a
HaloBenders shirt.

yep.

anyway, I neglected to add myself to the toll... I'm from Oklahoma. great
state of... the Flaming Lips and little else. why anyone stay here but to
settle down is beyond me.

but as far as great shows:
the flaming lips in austin last summer at SXSW, as well as built to spill...
there were other indie greats such as sparklehorse, granddaddy(are they in
any sense yet?)

parking garage rooftop session at OU with Dub Narcotic (they were in town
during SXSW also) and the Microphones... such nice people, except Calvin was
a bit of a recluse.

flaming lips, sebadoh (first time seeing 'em) in OKC (MABD tour about a
month ago)

MM for a good 40-minute session at an indie fest in Tulsa... loved every
minute of it

but i'm not much for words tonight

reality would have it... oh, nevermind. don't know if i can live with
myself.

misnomers in pure economics,

Jacob

p.s. i thought stereolab was played over one of the VW bug commercials...
volvo?
Have a nice night.
