Re: [MMouse]: name songs are sweet, let's get an ice cream

1999-11-23 Thread Ledena Mattox

Joni Mitchel does Carry, R.L. burnside does Tribute to Fred, and frank
black does Adda Lee, and there is that one eighties song Sarah (I forget
who does it). My name has never been in any song, and probably never will,
but whenever that song "I'm a genie in a bottle" comes on at my work, I
like to say "I'm a ledena in a bottle". It's pretty lame but it makes me
feel special.
uh, goodnight.

Songs with names in the title are better, it's a fact, especailly first
names. here's the scoop on some more I found, my friends. Leonard Cohen of
course had, "Suzanne," and "So Long, Marianne;" the JohnSBX has a song
called
"Brenda," obviously a love balad dedicated to the greatest Beverly Hills
90210 bratpacker. Saves the day had a song called, "Jodi." Patti Smith had
a few songs named after people. ben fold's five had a great song named
"Kate," which really got my toes a tappin'. And also just to add a personal
Smith's favorite: "Frankly Mr. Shankly." That's what a few minutes of
digging through your favorite CD's gets you. Oh well, have a nice day
