[Mono-list] .Net Framework for Autocad

2006-01-06 Thread Joe Grobelny

I am new to Mono. We are a small company that uses Autocad 2005. we
would like to run this in Linux so that we can do away with Microsoft
all together. The only problem is 2005 requires .Net Framework. Would
Mono allow us to use Wine and run Autocad?

Although this is slightly uneducated, my guess is that Autocad 2005
uses some Windows specific native routines that will not translate to
Mono alone. At the same time, I do not believe there is currently a
good way to integrate Wine and Mono to basically provide for an
equivalent .Net environment. I am not sure the Windows version of
Mono can even run under Wine. Therefore, I don't think that the
current time you can do what you ask.
